South Lake Animal League receives no federal or state funding, and relies on the generosity of the community to help us care for the abused, abandoned, and neglected animals in our community.   In 2008, we spent $110,168 on animal care. This included veterinarian costs, medications, food, and other necessities needed for the comfort and wellbeing of the animals in our care.
